Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri gave information about the action, in which Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofia Qureshi were also present. India destroyed many Pakistani bases.

New Delhi:The Ministry of External Affairs held a press conference on Operation Sindoor. In the press conference, information is being given about the action taken by India against Pakistan yesterday. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is giving information about India's action. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofia Qureshi are also present in this press conference.

'Pakistan was already warned'

At the press conference, Colonel Sofia Qureshi said, 'During the press briefing on Operation Sindoor on 07 May 2025, India had described its response as focused, measured and non-escalatory. It was specifically mentioned that Pakistani military installations were not targeted. It was also reiterated that any attack on military installations in India would invite an appropriate response. On the night of 07-08 May 2025, Pakistan attempted to target multiple military installations in northern and western India including Avantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai and Bhuj using drones and missiles. These were neutralised by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence System. Debris from these attacks are now being recovered from multiple locations which prove Pakistani attacks.'

Colonel Sofia Qureshi said, "This morning, the Indian armed forces targeted air defence radars and systems at multiple locations in Pakistan. India's response has been in the same area and with the same intensity as Pakistan's. It is reliably learnt that one air defence system in Lahore has been neutralised..."

Pakistan increased firing on the border, India is giving a befitting reply

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said, "Pakistan has increased the intensity of its unprovoked firing along the LoC using mortars and heavy calibre artillery in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar and Rajouri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. 16 innocent people, including three women and five children, have lost their lives due to Pakistani firing. India was forced to retaliate to stop the firing of mortars and artillery from Pakistan side. Indian Armed Forces reiterate their commitment to non-escalation, provided it is respected by the Pakistan Army."

Pakistan defended TRF in UNSC

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said, "When Pahalgam was being discussed in the UNSC, Pakistan had protested the role of TRF (The Resistance Front). This happened after TRF claimed responsibility for the attack not once but twice...Colonel Qureshi and Wing Commander Singh made it clear yesterday and today that India's response is non-escalatory, precise and measured. Our intention is not to escalate the situation and we are only responding to escalation. No military target has been hit, only terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan has been targeted."

'Pakistani ministers have links with terrorists'

MEA press briefing on Operation Sindoor Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said "Pakistan has become the face of terror across the world. I don't need to remind you where Osama bin Laden was found and who called him a martyr. Pakistan is also home to a large number of UN-designated terrorists and those proscribed by many countries. In the last few days, their Defence Minister and former Foreign Minister have acknowledged their country's involvement with such terrorist groups."

India foiled Pakistan's attacks Let us tell you that the Indian Armed Forces also targeted Pakistan's air defense system, thwarting Pakistan's retaliation after Operation Sindoor. Late night on 7 May 2025, Pakistan tried to attack 15 Indian military bases, which was thwarted by the Indian Air Force through its S-400 air defense system. In response, the Indian Army on Thursday destroyed air defense radars and systems at several places in Pakistan, especially the HQ-9 missile defense unit in Lahore. This action is a clear demonstration of India's military strength and defense preparedness, which effectively neutralized any aggressive response from Pakistan.
